It's a little weird that the demo is missing scenes for two of the main heroines. Is there any chance of a Katawa Shoujo-style Act 1 release with all the characters?
Some other people had signatures, so I figured it was the cool thing to do.

Yep! Our release plan is Demo → Act 1 → Full Game.

This may sound strange but I need to say that loved the UI. I loved the game and the all characters that were introduced to me (Fran stands out for me) but I reaaaally liked the UI

Congratulations to the Somnova team for reaching this key release milestone. It's been a bumpy ride, but I'm sure it will have been worth the wait. Your work and dedication is much appreciated and I look forward to what you have in store for us in the future.

Again, congratulations on the demo release!

Congrats on the demo build! I've been following the blog and have really been looking forward to the game. :)

Only problem is that I can't play it, so far as I can tell from the missing-stars.net page. Will you have a Linux build or All (Windows/Mac/Linux together) build made for Missing Stars or its demo?

If you haven't yet, I'd be willing to beta test a Ren'Py Linux build of the demo, as any Linux Ren'Py build should work on any distro, as the libraries are statically linked. I have two distros on two computers, one running 32-bit Slackware and one running 64-bit Arch, so it would be a pretty good test between one of the most conservatively upgraded vs. one of the most actively upgraded Linux distros.

Please help me enjoy the demo too, I'm willing to work for it if you need my help. :)

I've been following your project for a while (not very frequently, but I would check your blog once every two or three months to see if there was anything new). I was really hoping this demo would eventually come, but I was not impatient. I'm a hobby writer, so I know very well how hard it is to tackle a big project as a hobbyist (especially if there's no money involved). I was worried that you would end up disbanding at some point, but you were able to endure and I'm happy you did. The demo is really promising, and I can see the huge amount of care and effort you put into it. I'm excited to see the rest of the game, but I can wait as much as it takes. As they say, you can't rush quality.

I hope it's a smooth sail from now on. Good luck, and keep up the good work!

Hold the phone. I've been following this project for a while and almost never thought this day would come. I mean, it's just the demo, but that means you guys are working hard to make sure this comes together. Keep it up!

As an addendum to my first post: Thanks for the Linux link on the missing-stars.net page! :D Can't wait to see what you've got so far!

Good luck and thanks for everything from here on out, too. :)

A belated congratulations to the team for releasing the demo. The demo kind of reminded me what made me fell in love in the first place, and have had a great art consistency as well as very developed character that I could only dream off back then. So cheers and here's an expectation to be surprised for the full VN!
